It’s the last day of February, that once-every-four-years extra day. If you’re Frederic from The Pirates of Penzance, you’re one birthday closer to being free of your indenture!
Yes, that was a music joke. I was one of the daughters my senior year in college – Gilbert and Sullivan is always so much fun. 😜
Free books
Who doesn’t love free? I’m a cheapskate, so I do. 😜 Especially when it comes to authors I don’t know yet, because it lets me try a sample of their work so I can decide if I want to buy it.
Well, because I can’t help myself, I wrote a prequel novella – the traditional Cinderella part of Michael and Ella’s story. Originally, I titled it “Night of Dreams”, but my husband poked fun at me for that (“I thought you didn’t write that kind of romance?”), so I changed it to “Night of Dance” lest it convey the impression of content that it doesn’t have.
“Night of Dance” is available for FREE as part of a promotion with several other authors of sweet fantasy romance, including K.M. Shea, Tara Grayce, and Mary Mecham. I’m in the middle of Tara Grayce’s Elven Alliance series at the moment, and if you haven’t read it, you should!

This promo runs until March 6, so hurry on over and look for your next read!
Writing Update
I have one more chapter to finish my read-through of Curse of Silence before I submit it to the “Lost Kerchiefs” challenge, and then I get to pivot to editing Songs and Spun Gold. In the meantime, I’m about 30k words into Spirits and Pacts, part two of Katy and Axel’s story. I’m expecting it to be shorter than part one, but they might surprise me.
Songs and Spun Gold is scheduled to release April 30. If you’re the type to preorder, that is available over at Amazon.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading!
